Plot Tracker Pro is the first advanced Accounting / Reporting
utility for Kip Wide-Format printers. Now that the new Kip IPS systems have built in
tracking of Walk-up Copy and Scan To File data the accounting features have
become more and more popular. The Kip software allows for logging of a
Username, Job Number and Description with each plot job. However, the log
files generated can be confusing and hard to read.
The current options for recovering
printing costs are limited. The “Production Report” Kip Request can output
does not calculate any cost of operation leaving much to be desired. Other
software packages may help with the process but are complex, expensive and
require a lot of training and implementation time. Importing the log files
into a spread sheet can be very difficult and time consuming. Hours can be
spent at the end of each month importing log files to Excel and then
searching for useable data. In many cases the burden becomes so great that
the end user gives up completely and resorts to guess-work when billing the
